PACER Maintenance
Does the PACER app require a subscription?
No, the PACER app is completely free to use. There are no additional fees after purchasing the device — all features are included at no extra cost.
Are there any parts that need to be replaced regularly?
PACER is designed for regular use without the need for consumable replacements. However, we recommend checking for external contamination if the device is used over a long period.
Do I need to calibrate the sensors regularly?
No manual calibration is required. PACER features an auto-calibration algorithm that ensures consistent and accurate measurements.
Can I wash the device?
Yes, most components can be cleaned safely. However, avoid getting the sensor unit (where the LED lights are located) wet. Instead, wipe it gently with a damp cloth, followed by a dry tissue. Always ensure all parts are fully dry before using again, as moisture may cause damage.
Can PACER be shared among multiple users?
Technically yes, but we do not recommend it. For hygiene and sensor reliability, we strongly advise individual use for the most accurate and safe results.
How can I request after-sales service (A/S)?
If you encounter an issue with your PACER, please contact us through our website or customer support center. Depending on the issue, we’ll guide you through shipping or drop-off options. Our team will ensure prompt and thorough service to restore your device to optimal condition.
Using PACER
Is PACER one-size-fits-all?
Yes, PACER is designed as a one-size-fits-most product. While it fits the majority of users comfortably, if it doesn't suit your face shape, we offer a 100% refund guarantee — so you can try it risk-free.
How do I use PACER?
PACER works with a dedicated mobile app. During a test, the device connects to the app via Bluetooth. Once the test is complete, you can view your results right away in the app.
What if PACER keeps slipping during exercise?
If the device shifts due to head shape or intense movement, we recommend using the headgear-style strap for a more secure fit. You can also refer to our fitting guide video for tips on proper wear. (Link attached)
Can beginners use PACER? Is it helpful for them?
Absolutely. PACER is built for users of all levels. It analyzes your current fitness level and offers personalized insights to help you improve effectively, stay motivated, and reduce the risk of injury.
Does PACER interfere with breathing?
Not at all. PACER is designed for optimal airflow and comfort, providing better breathability than traditional lab-grade metabolic masks. It allows natural breathing, even during intense workouts.
I read the manual, but I’m still not sure how to wear it.
No problem — first-time use can take a moment to get used to. We recommend watching our step-by-step fitting video for a clear and easy walkthrough.
Is there an age restriction for using PACER?
PACER is designed for adult use, but it’s generally safe for users aged 13 and up. For minors, we recommend using the device under parental guidance.
What is the recommended operating temperature and humidity?
PACER performs best in temperatures between 0°C and 40°C, and in environments with less than 80% humidity. Extreme conditions may affect measurement accuracy.
Which countries can PACER be used in?
PACER is currently available in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, and South Korea. If you're outside these regions and wish to use PACER, please contact our support team for more information.
How long does it take to charge PACER?
A full charge takes approximately 2 hours using a USB-C cable. It’s quick and easy to charge before your next session.
How long can PACER be used on a full charge?
PACER lasts up to 3 hours on a full charge. Actual usage time may vary slightly depending on conditions and usage patterns.
Testing & Analysis
What is respiratory metabolic analysis?
Respiratory metabolic analysis measures the amount of oxygen you inhale and carbon dioxide you exhale during exercise. It helps you understand how your body consumes energy and assesses your metabolic state. This data allows for accurate analysis of exercise intensity, fitness level, fat vs. carbohydrate usage, and more.
How often should I get tested?
For a full assessment, we recommend testing every 4–6 weeks. This time frame reflects how long it typically takes for noticeable changes in fitness. Shorter or more frequent tests can also be performed depending on your goals and training program.
Which types of exercise can PACER analyze?
PACER is optimized for running and cycling, but its 'Free Test' mode allows you to record breath data during various types of aerobic activity. Even outside these core sports, you can still track oxygen uptake, CO₂ output, and other key metrics.
What kinds of performance metrics can I get?
PACER provides detailed insights including VO₂max, LTP (Lactate Threshold Pace), Fatmax, calorie expenditure, and your fat vs. carbohydrate burn rate. These metrics help guide intensity control, optimize training plans, and support better performance management.
Can test results vary between sessions?
Yes, factors like sleep, nutrition, hydration, and stress can affect your performance on a given day. However, the general trend remains reliable, and consistent testing under similar conditions will yield the most trustworthy data.
How does the testing process work?
The PACER app guides you step by step depending on the selected protocol. During the test, voice prompts help you stay on track in real time, making it easy to follow even for first-time users.
Can I use PACER both indoors and outdoors?
Yes, PACER is designed to work in both environments. Whether you're running outdoors or using a treadmill or indoor bike, it can collect accurate and reliable data.
Will results differ between indoor and outdoor testing?
Yes, performance may vary depending on the environment. Outdoor factors like wind or temperature can affect results, while indoor settings provide more controlled conditions. We recommend testing regularly in a consistent setting that suits your comfort and routine.
How long does it take to see the results?
Test results are typically available in the app within 5–10 minutes after the session ends. All data is processed automatically, so no extra steps are needed.
Can my condition affect the results?
Yes, things like poor sleep, skipped meals, or accumulated fatigue can affect your maximum effort, which may change the results. For the most accurate readings, we recommend testing in a well-rested, normal condition.
Why did my test analysis fail?
Test failures may occur for several reasons:
1. **Network issues**: If your device can't upload data after the test, results may not process.
2. **Poor fit**: If PACER is not sealed properly on your face, it can cause inaccurate measurements.
3. **Test too short**: Each protocol has a minimum required time. Ending the test early can lead to failed analysis.
4. **Bluetooth disconnection**: If the device disconnects from your phone during testing, results may be incomplete. Keep your phone close to maintain a stable connection.
How accurate and reliable is PACER compared to lab equipment?
PACER has shown over 98% agreement with premium lab-grade devices like COSMED and VO2Master. It's been validated in multiple studies and trusted by sports professionals, offering both high accuracy and reliability in real-world use.
What technology does PACER use to measure performance?
PACER uses a combination of flow sensors, PPG (photoplethysmography), and IMU (inertial measurement unit) sensors to capture your breath patterns and physical response. These data are analyzed using Neumafit’s proprietary AI and GPS algorithms, delivering lab-grade results without gas analyzers.
App & Features
Is the PACER app available for both Android and iOS?
Yes, the PACER app is available on both Android and iOS platforms. It’s compatible with most modern smartphones and can be downloaded easily from the App Store or Google Play.

No, the core features of the app require a PACER device to function. Since all analysis is based on data collected from PACER, you’ll need to register and connect your device to use the app.
Which languages does the app support?

Can I switch to a different registered device?
Yes. In the app, go to 'Profile' > 'Device Registration' to unregister your current device and register a new one. Switching devices is simple and seamless.
Can I download raw data from my analysis?
Yes. The PACER app allows you to export raw analysis data as a CSV file — useful if you want to review it later or use external analysis tools.
Can I get a PDF version of my analysis report?
Absolutely. The analysis report can be saved and shared as a PDF file, making it easy to archive your results or discuss them with a coach or professional.
Does the app sync data with other fitness apps?
Not yet, but integration with fitness and health platforms is in development. We’re working to expand compatibility in upcoming updates.
